The Students’ Union is looking to recruit a new editor of Student Direct and a digital marketing co-ordinator. Both are full time paid positions open only to Salford students.
If you’re looking to work in marketing, journalism or PR, these are fantastic opportunities not to be missed. Both are hands on, exciting roles where you’ll play a crucial part in communicating with the Students’ Union’s thousands of members. They offer you the chance to gain experience you’d struggle to find elsewhere and could really provide that leg up the career ladder!
Student Direct Editor
The Student Direct Editor will be responsible for producing the weekly student newspaper at Salford. You’ll manage a team of student contributors to create a vital source of news and features for the biggest student paper in the UK.
Digital Marketing Co-ordinator
The digital marketing co-ordinator will support the Marketing Manager in the delivery of digital marketing activity and identifying new opportunities in digital and online marketing. They will take particular responsibility for maintaining and developing the Union’s website and using social media to convey our messages.
So, if you’re a final year or postgraduate student looking for a year’s work experience in these fields, or a first or second year student looking for a placement position, then one of these roles could be for you.

*The digital marketing co-ordinator position will run from June 2012 to May 2013 and interviews will be held during the week commencing 14 May.
