News : We're Still Open Over Summer!

Whilst you're on holiday Student Life is open throughout the summer with our full range of services available when you need us. So whether you need to speak to an adviser about finance, disability, personal wellbeing, your career or anything else, rest assured that we'll be there to help!
Accommodation, Libraries, Neo Cafes, the Students' Union Advice Centre, Car Parking & Security will also remain in operation throughout the summer months. The libraries and catering facilities will be operating reduced hours.
Campus Bus Service
As from Friday 25 May 2012, the University's free Campus Bus Service will cease operating during for the summer.
The free service runs Monday to Friday during Semester 1 and Semester 2.
The Campus Bus will resume one week before the start of the next academic year (two weeks before the start of classes) on Monday 10 September 2012.
Full details of bus times will be available from the start of September.
Quays link will run to MediaCityUK as normal with no changes to service.
Catering will be available throughout the Summer period at the following sites:
Crescent House café
Please note: the opening times may be subject to change if neccessary.
Clifford Whitworth will return to midnight closing times as of Friday 25 May 2012.
Adelphi and Allerton will remain a 5.00pm closing time as ususal.
After this time the library will be moving to our vacation hours, including the weekends.
Clifford Whitworth later opening Monday to Friday (9.00pm). Weekends Saturday and Sunday (12.00pm-6.00pm).
Allerton later opening Thursdays (7.00pm). Weekends Saturday only (12.00-6.00pm).
Adelphi closes at 5.00pm Mon –Fri, closed at the weekends.
Adelphi and Allerton will be closed on the Jubilee bank holidays but Clifford Whitworth will be open 12.00pm-18.00pm self-service only.
All libraries will be closed on Saturday 23 June and Sunday 24 June due to campus-wide data outage.
Clifford Whitworth will be closed on Sunday 15 July due to a planned power outage. (May require Allerton to be open, confirmation to follow closer to date).
All libraries will be closed Monday 27 August bank holiday.
Important information for final year undergraduates
Please return your library items by Friday 25 May. Borrowing rights on your account will end at this time.
You may continue using libraries for reference purposes until Sunday 27 July.
Network access will end when you graduate. If you have any material stored on your F: drive that you wish to keep please ensure that you have made copies of it before your work is deleted.
This information does not apply to nursing students whose courses continue beyond Friday 25 May.

Why not take this opportunity while the centre is a bit quieter to kick start a new healthy routine!! We have experienced fitness instructors on site available to advice on healthy eating, weight loss, and personal training to give you that motivation to get going!
Try one of our summer challenges – like ‘Row the Channel’ in the Cardio room, then take a dip in the 25m swimming pool to cool off. Or maybe just come and use the sauna and Jacuzzi to relax after a hard day’s work in the sunshine.

International Life Centre (ILC)
Located in University House, the ILC is a multi-purpose space where international students can meet, learn, socialise, study collaboratively and seek advice, help or support.
The ILC will be open as usual throughout the summer.
The ILC comprises two large open spaces, which can be used for socialising and events, and a number of smaller meeting rooms, which are ideal for quiet or group study.
It will also provide a base for the University’s International Society, the Chaplaincy and Access SUMMIT (Disabilities Assessment).
